When we decided to renovate our master bath, we were given Mark's name along with three or four others. Not knowing any of the contractors, we decided to call and speak to each one of them about our plans and then choose the one we felt more comfortable with. When we made our calls, Mark was the only one who promptly returned the phone call. Actually, Mark returned the phone call only minutes after leaving the message. When he called, we made an appointment for him to come out and meet with us. Before we met with Mark, we knew we had found our contractor just from the phone conversation. Two other contractors never returned a phone call, and when the other one called, we said we had already found our guy.

When we met with Mark, it felt like we had known him forever. We talked about what we wanted to do with our master bath, and he threw out ideas that we would have never thought about. Mark has a vision and attention for detail that makes his work unique, and he will not be satisfied with any detail of work unless it is of the quality that he would have in his home. After Mark finished with our job, two of our neighbors asked for his contact information and they too have used him to renovate a master bath. That alone speaks well of the quality of work he does since we only have ten homes on our street!

Our Magnet Construction has built an over 900 sq ft deck on the back of our home. It was the first of many phases planned out by Mark Galey. This multi-phased project will result in the expanding of our kitchen, a 300 sq ft covered deck, a 250 sq ft open deck with an outdoor kitchen. Mark has spent many hours with us to make sure he builds what we want. Each phase has been accomplished on time, despite many weather delays. Mark is an inspired contractor - he helps you think through your dream plans and turn them into reality. His collaboration helped me include changes that make my vision better than I planned. We incorporated changes to accommodate senior-friendly features, custom doggie space for my three dogs, and converted 4 chopped up rooms into a single 1100 square foot open living space. Mark worked with me to offer options for results that took my budget planning into account. His professional team is considerate of homeowner needs, and I could trust that my puppies were being treated with care while I was at work during the construction. I plan to work with him again when have funding to do phase2.

We worked with Mark and his team on a recent remodel of our loft. Taking a 1100 sq ft space built in 1904 and trying to modernize it a bit to meet our needs was no small task, but Mark came in with ideas galore.

He listened to us ramble (and bicker a bit) and was able to hear what was actually needed. He devised a loft for my library, designed a custom fab ladder to get up to it, suggested a totally non traditional (and very green!) pot rack and more. He didn't guffaw at my idea for curtain rods (18 ft ceilings are nothing small to deal with) that involved some creativity on his part (gas pipe, which was stronger than my recco for conduit) or our multiple runs to look at tile while his team waited on us.

His team was hard working, tolerant of my frequent stop-ins to drop off boxes and in the end - our being underfoot while they wrapped things up. Mark was visionary and delivered everything we'd agreed to in the time he'd agreed to.

We couldn't have been happier with Mark and his team and highly recommend them for any of your home projects involving GC work, tiling, drywall, electrical and painting.
